Capitola, Calif. (February 7, 2020) – Coming off of a successful kickoff to the Run Local Bay Area 2020 race series at the 408k ‘Race to the Row’ brought to you by Amazon, Soul Focus Sports, owners of Run Local have announced new positions operating its suite of events. This includes the promotion of five-plus year company veteran, Aaron Jacobsen, to President of Run Local. Jacobsen who has been at the front of the organization’s marketing and operational development will lead the innovative brand and growing team into the new decade as it grows its footprint in the Bay Area and beyond.

“Aaron has been with us for more than five years and I could not think of a better fit in leadership as Run Local looks to expand in every direction,” commented J.T. Service, founder and CEO of Soul Focus Sports.

In addition to Jacobsen, Run Local has hired David Monico as its Director of Marketing and Public Relations. Monico joins the company having consulted for nationally recognized events and organizations both inside and outside the industry over his fifteen-year career.

Rounding out the recent hires are Stephanie Graziano, Run Local’s new Community Coordinator, who is tasked with engaging the company’s volunteer and charitable network, doubling down on its commitment to the regions in which it operates. And Dayne Gradone, Run Local’s Marketing Coordinator, who is leading its data and analytics efforts.

“As we look to our remaining 2020 schedule of events and enter our 10th anniversary in 2021, this growing team is a reflection of all the hard work that dozens of people, over the last ten years, have put into creating events that make a difference for our participants and the communities we work in,” said Jacobsen. “We’re looking forward to continuing to elevate our brand and experiences in the running industry to match the innovative spirit of the San Francisco Bay Area.”

Run Local Bay Area’s calendar turns next to its two newest events, the San Jose Shamrock Run (10K & 5K) on Saturday, March 14 and the Silicon Valley Half Marathon, 10K & Food Truck 5K presented by Excite Credit Union on Sunday, April 5.
