Run 5K, Win $5K: A Snail’s Pace Global Running Day Challenge

Southern California’s trusted running specialty store celebrates Global Running Day with a community 5K challenge powered by Nike.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. May, 20, 2026 /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – In celebration of June 3rd’s Global Running Day, A Snail’s Pace Running Shop is bringing Orange, Los Angeles and San Bernardino County communities together for a two-week-long 5K challenge, powered by Nike and designed to inspire participants of all levels to get moving and win prizes.

Beginning May 20, two weeks prior to Global Running Day, participants can complete their 5K (3.1 miles) run or walk and end at one of A Snail’s Pace store locations (Brea, Chino Hills, Fountain Valley, Mission Viejo and Monrovia) for a chance to win a $5000 ASP gift card and other raffle prizes from Nike.

To enter, participants are asked to show a staff member proof of completion from their smartwatch or fitness tracking device and create an Instagram post (tag @asprunning and #5Kfor5K). Limit one entry per day.

Participants may submit entries up until the time of the A Snail’s Pace Global Running Day events that will take place across all five stores on June 3. In addition to announcing the $5K winner, A Snail’s Pace’s Global Running Day events will also feature food, drinks and additional giveaways from Currex, OS1st, Velous and Balega.
