Quintana Roo Expands V-PRI to Five Sizes, Putting the World’s Fastest Triathlon Bike Within Reach of Every Athlete
May 5, 2026

New XS and XL frame sizes extend the V-PRi's size range, with pros Grace Thek and Colin Szuch leading the charge
Chattanooga, TN (May 5, 2026) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ — Quintana Roo Bicycles today announces that its flagship V-PRi triathlon bike — named Triathlete’s 2024 Tri Bike of the Year and the holder of the IRONMAN bike course record — is now available in five sizes, adding a new Extra-Small (XS) and Extra-Large (XL) to the existing Small, Medium, and Large lineup. The expansion means that, for the first time, every triathlete, regardless of stature, can race aboard the V-PRi in a frame that fits, handles, and performs exactly as engineered.
The announcement addresses a long-standing gap in the market for athletes at the extremes of the fit spectrum, which has often left the shortest and tallest competitors to make do with ill-fitting frames, aftermarket modifications, or unsafe weight distributions that compromise handling. Quintana Roo built the XS and XL frames from the ground up to eliminate those workarounds entirely. Quintana Roo also employed its athletes—specifically, 5’0 (153cm) Australian pro Grace Thek and 6’3 (190cm) American Colin Szuch—as driving forces in fit and feedback during the development of the new bike sizing expansion.
The V-PRi’s engineering credentials are well established: with practical in-frame nutrition and fluid integration to class-leading aerodynamic advantage, the V-PRi has been carrying triathletes to fastest bike splits and victories at races around the world—from a Challenge Championship victory and the IRONMAN bike course record delivered by Danish powerhouse Kristian Høgenhaug, to the quintet of Hawaii IRONMAN World Championships qualifications this spring by fellow Quintana pros Marta Sanchez, Matt Hanson, Grace Thek, Jana Uderstadt and Katrine Christensen. Now, the advantage the V-PRi represents extends to athletes who previously had no access to them in a properly fitted machine.
“Size and adjustability have always been hallmarks of Quintana Roo bikes, and the significance of having athletes like Thek and Szuch validating the V-PRi at the highest level of the sport has been crucial to the development of the new size options,” said Quintana Roo President and CEO Chris Pascarella. “We’re excited for pros and age groupers—of all sizes—to have access to the most advanced bike in the sport.”
“With this beauty, I have the ability to adjust it however I please,” said Thek of her new V-PRi in XS sizing. “I’m so grateful to the Quintana Roo team for identifying a gap in the market for us small peeps with a whole new XS sized frame since my last visit to the HQ at the end of September. It’s been an amazing journey so far.”
The V-PRi is available in XS, S, M, L, and XL through quintanarootri.com and select QR retailers, with the same direct-to-consumer model and build-to-order customization QR is known for. Pricing starts at $13,699.
