Punch Gunk Hosts Pedal For Pints Activation At 2021 Belgian Waffle Ride

Pain relief innovators make first trip to beloved San Diego cycling event, pedaling refreshing prizes for daring attendees

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Punch Gunk, the award-winning performance therapeutics company shaking up the pain relief and workout recovery industry, is making its first appearance at the famed Belgian Waffle Ride in San Diego this weekend. Punch Gunk is presenting Pedal for Pints, where competitors and spectators who generate the most watts in thirty seconds will have a chance to earn local brews and glassware to enjoy it with throughout race weekend.

“This event draws athletes with no fear, tons of grit, and who are no strangers to pain,” said Cameron McIntyre, co-founder of Punch Gunk. “This opportunity to connect with participants was a no-brainer. We’re excited to make our debut as racing makes its return post-COVID and we’re even more excited to help attendees fight the pain that comes from tough competition. Participants in Pedal for Pints will hop on a stationary bike. After a brief chance to get acquainted with the equipment, they will have 30 seconds to produce as much power as possible while riding. Their total will be added to the running scoreboard for the day. Top-performing men and women from each day of the expo will be named winners. Punch Gunk will be offering branded glassware as part of the prize package. Beers will also be awarded to winners by the event’s beer partner, The Lost Abbey Brewing Company.
