Mind Body Tri presented by Hyperice Announces Successful Inaugural Event Featuring World Class Yoga, Famous Race Announcer and Top Notch Prizes

October 27, 2020

October 27, 2020 – Organizers of the Mind Body Tri presented by Hyperice celebrates its successful inaugural virtual event held on October 24, 2020.  Participants from 26 states and six countries exercised their bodies and calmed their minds at this one-of-a-kind online event that brought together families, friends, triathlon clubs, co-workers, and individuals worldwide.

Unlike a traditional triathlon, the three legs of the Mind Body Tri are a 45 minute live online yoga class, a 5K run (or walk), followed by a 15 minute guided meditation. Taught by master yoga instructor Kelly Harrington, the event also featured famous race announcer Mike Reilly who got the event underway and encouraged and motivated participants in between each activity.

Additionally, presenting sponsor Hyperice awarded two lucky winners Meagan Ledendecker from Stockbridge, MA, and Remy Filteau from Newton Highlands, MA, each a Bluetooth Hypervolt.

Based on the overwhelming positive feedback from participants, organizers look forward to offering the Mind Body Tri in the near future. Comments included:

“I haven’t been keen on signing up for virtual events, but this felt like just the right thing for right now.”  Meagan Ledendecker from Stockbridge, MA

“I love this event so much and hope you make this a semi-regular event.”  Kim Wehrmeister from Ann Arbor, MI

“I was super worried that this event was not designed for people like me. I’m 53, run 10 miles a week if the stars align, and might do 20 minutes of yoga 3 times a week. Instead, I was totally blown away with how approachable the yoga was and what a great instructor Kelli was. I’d recommend this to anyone in a heartbeat.”  Beth Storrs from Berlin, MA

The Mind Body Tri presented by Hyperice was inspired by a group of successful race directors and colleagues looking for a way to come together to support one another and others by launching a unique, non-competitive, virtual fitness event designed to increase well-being and happiness.

“The opportunity to treat oneself to both a physical and mindful activity, and connect with others live was something that really resonated with participants,” said Eva Solomon owner of Epic Races and one of the organizers of the Mind Body Tri. “And equally rewarding was working hand in hand with fellow event organizers. We each brought unique experiences and expertise and are looking forward to collaborating on future events together!”
