GFNY Cannes opened Euro season

Bourbousson and Cavallo win the spectacular fifth edition
New York City (April 15, 2026) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Cannes hosted the fifth edition of GFNY Cannes this past Sunday. The racecourse was 115.7km with 2,159m of climbing, including Col du Tanneron and Col d’Avaye.
With perfect weather, challenging terrain, and a vibrant atmosphere, GFNY Cannes was yet again the picture perfect season opener for the amateurs, the day after the nearby finishing pro classic Milano – San Remo.
Italy’s Luca Cavallo claimed victory in a sprint finish, crossing the line in 2:53:12. He was followed closely by Federico Borella and Alexander Worsdale, completing an all-Italian podium.
In the women’s race, France’s Celine Bourbousson took the win in 3:21:31. She was followed by compatriots Céline Le Pecheur in second place and Zélie Bergsma in third, rounding out an all-French podium.
Next up on the GFNY calendar is the third edition of Michelob ULTRA GFNY Miami which will take place Sunday, April 19, 2026.
