Fun-Filled Virtual Community Event Focused on People Living with Parkinson’s
June 6, 2023
Join us for a month of community, activity, and helping people within the Parkinson comomunity live well today.
/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – As an organization dedicated to research, education and raising funds to support people with Parkinson’s and their caregivers, the Davis Phinney Foundation is delighted to bring our supporters a virtual event for all abilities.
Run, ride, practice yoga, swim, you name it. We are excited to get moving and be impactful with you. Miles or minutes: You set your own goals and we will be there cheering you every step of the way. Prizes, bibs, a virtual Official Race Village, limited edition socks and more will be part of this all-welcoming virtual event.
We also know how giving and charitable our amazing community is: We’re seeking togetherness and ways to give back. That’s why the Davis Phinney Foundation, based in Louisville, Colo., has created a way for everyone to get moving, give back, and support people with Parkinson’s so they can live their best lives today.
Climb a mountain, walk every day, conquer your own marathon, swim 10 laps a day, practice yoga, paint: the challenge is up to you. Every Victory Counts is our mantra, our purpose, and our way of joining you on your journey. Let’s get there together and make every victory count!
We can’t wait to participate alongside you and your friends and family members. Anyone can join the challenge. Ability levels will not limit anyone from participating.
Wendy Ericson, a past participant of the Every Victory Counts Challenge says:“This was a new experience for me, and it turned out to be a great blessing and life direction changer. Participating gave me new confidence and strength that was greatly needed. Thank you for your support for the PD community and helping me realize that I can still live well and be active and strong and do hard things!”
Registration is now open and the challenge begins July 1 and lasts all month. Can’t make it the whole month? You can join us for a week or even a day! The cost to join is $25 and we’ll mail you an event packet including a pair of socks. We make virtual feel in person with an engaging community that will encourage you allong the way. Anyone can register at dpf.org/victory.
Can’t participate? You can support the cause with a donation to help people with Parkinson’s live well here.
Let’s help everyone live well TODAY.
