BOSTON, March 9, 2023 /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ FastfoodTM, a new groundbreaking line of high-performance nutrition products engineered to fuel elite and amateur athletes, today announced partnerships with professional triathletes and Ironman champions Joe Skipper and Jesper Svensson of the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO).

Skipper and Svensson, who currently rank 15th and 81st in the world respectively, will look to build on their successful 2022 campaigns by fueling themselves with Fastfood during the 2023 PTO circuit. Svensson will make his 2023 race debut this Friday, March 10th at Clash Miami, where he will compete in the Professional race (1700m swim, 39-mile bike and 10.5-mile run).

Both athletes will rely on Fastfood’s Galacto-Gels, Galacto-Gummies and Hydrator beverage mixes to power them through competition and training in the coming year. Fueling through Fastfood provides athletes with an edge over the competition, as all products in the line are made from real food and the incorporation of the key carbohydrate galactose into the line’s gels and gummies creates the ideal carbohydrate blend to power maximum athletic performance.

“We are thrilled to partner with Joe and Jesper, two elite champions of the sport whose dedication and love for competition has led them to become two of the most successful triathletes in the world,” said Adam Melonas, Founder and CEO of Fastfood. “We created Fastfood to provide athletes of all abilities with an all-natural high-performance fuel that will help them excel on their individual missions and take their performance to the next level. We can’t wait to see what Joe and Jesper are able to achieve this season and look forward to supporting them each step of the way.”

Skipper, a six-time Ironman winner (UK – 2018/2021, Florida – 2019, New Zealand – 2020, Ironman Wales 2022 and Ironman Arizona 2022), has been one of the world’s most recognized triathletes since his debut in 2010. Known for his cycling prowess, Skipper finished a career best fifth at the 2022 Ironman World Championship and is eyeing another podium finish this year.

“After meeting with Adam in Kona for The Ironman World Championship, I tried Fastfood during my offseason training and found it to be perfect on my long rides,” said Skipper. “I felt like it gave me energy towards the end of the rides, and the texture and taste of the gummies and gels were refreshing. It’s a nice change to actually look forward to eating energy products because you like the taste. As a professional who trains up to 30 hours a week with high intensity, it is essential to keep on top of my fueling in order to perform and recover at the level needed to race and beat the best athletes in the world. I’m looking forward to being a part of the Fastfood family, and can’t wait to see the company go from strength to strength in the years ahead.”

No stranger to podium finishes himself, Svensson has broken the tape in long distance triathlons, earning the title of champion at Ironmans Brazil and Barcelona in 2018. Svensson has also captured wins at the Otillo Swimrun World Championship in 2017, the 2018 Sweden Middle Distance Triathlon National Championships and most recently, finished second overall at the 2021 World Triathlon Long Distance Championships Almere-Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

“What you put in your body is every bit as critical as the hours and miles of training time leading up to and on race-day,” said Svensson. “Adding Fastfood to my training plan provides me with ideal nutrition and assures me that I will be ready to go on race-day, regardless of distance. I can’t wait to attack the 2023 circuit and I’m thrilled to team up with Adam and the crew at Fastfood.”

In addition to providing Skipper and Svensson with nutrition throughout the year, Fastfood will be leveraging its team of highly reputable food scientists and in-house nutritionists to ensure the athletes are fueling most optimally with their daily meals. Fastfood will also sponsor the branding displayed on their bike helmets, race suits and running hats.
