ENVO and Cadex Partner to Develop Rapid Lithium eBike Battery Tester

ENVO, a leader in electric micro-mobility, and Cadex Electronics, a global provider of battery testing and charging technologies, are collaborating to develop a rapid test for lithium eBike batteries.

Vancouver, Canada – [April 17, 2024]/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – ENVO, a leader in electric micro-mobility, and Cadex Electronics, a global provider of battery testing and charging technologies, are collaborating to develop a rapid test for lithium eBike batteries. This innovative tool will empower eBike riders and enthusiasts to quickly assess the health and potential faults of their batteries, fostering safety and extending battery life.

The rapid test will utilize a user-friendly device developed by Cadex in collaboration with ENVO, offering a cost-effective alternative to expensive lab-grade testers. At a fraction of the price, this device will be readily accessible to eBike owners, allowing them to gain valuable insights into their battery’s condition on-the-go. While the final price remains under evaluation based on production factors, it will be significantly lower than traditional testing options.

The development process is expected to be completed by the end of the year. During the project ENVO will provide access to a diverse range of eBike batteries for testing, including new, partially used, faulty, and end-of-life batteries. This comprehensive data set will ensure the test’s efficacy in identifying potential issues across various battery states.

Cadex will contribute their expertise by providing the testing unit, connectors, and a web-based backend for data collection and analysis. Additionally, Cadex will conduct breakdown tests on select batteries identified by ENVO, validating the rapid test’s accuracy and effectiveness.

This collaboration aims to revolutionize eBike battery maintenance by providing a rapid and reliable testing solution. The project’s successful completion will equip eBike users with the tools to optimize battery performance and extend their lifespan, contributing to a more sustainable future for the industry.
