Emerald Holding takes earnings beating on cancelled shows

The company reported revenues of $8.5 million in the third quarter ending September 30 compared to revenues of $75.6 million for the third quarter of 2019, a decrease of 88.8 percent. Sad investors note, if you purchased Emerald Holding (NYSE:EEX) shares three years ago, you would have a 91% loss to show for it according to Simply Wall St. The company did note that they hosted over 90 digitally-delivered virtual events during the third quarter. And it was announced that SurfExpo will be taking place in person on January 6-8, 2021.
