deboer wetsuits introduces the Fjord 2.0 wetsuit

The Fjord 2.0 wetsuit builds on the best in class reputation of the Fjord 1.0
Stamford, CT; April 29, 2021. deboer wetsuits is proud to introduce the Fjord 2.0 wetsuit. The Fjord 2.0 builds on the championship pedigree of the Fjord 1.0 to produce an even faster wetsuit. Since the launch of the Fjord 1.0 in 2019, the development team at deboer has been testing countless iterations of new designs to improve on the Fjord 1.0, a wetsuit that is already best in class. The Fjord 1.0 redefined what was possible, and the Fjord 2.0 refines that design to produce a wetsuit that provides more flexibility and buoyancy, as well as improving the visibility of the swimmer to make open water swimming safer.
Alex de Boer, deboer wetsuits co-founder & wetsuit designer
“When you lead out of the water you don’t sit up on the bike and wait for everyone else to catch up. You put your head down and go to work to stretch your advantage. That is the approach we took with the Fjord 2.0 wetsuit. Just because the Fjord 1.0 is the premier triathlon wetsuit doesn’t mean we want to sit back and wait for everyone else to catch up. We have incorporated feedback from athletes, results from testing, and learning’s from our other wetsuits to produce the Fjord 2.0 – a wetsuit that is even faster, more buoyant, and more comfortable than the Fjord 1.0.”

WhaleSkin™ – HBF Limestone Rib Neoprene
Limestone neoprene has a high micro-cell structure. These are independent closed cells (like bubbles) within the neoprene that are packed together at extremely high density. Limestone neoprene has a 94% cell penetration – over 30% more than oil-based neoprene leading to greater impermeability, lightness, warmth, durability and stretch with memory allowing more freedom of movement. Our WhaleSkin™ rib neoprene increases the surface by 18.3%, which in turn increases buoyancy and ultimately increases your speed. In addition, it’s more environmentally friendly.
Incredibly flexible and highly durable. Our patented ultra-thin unique polymer (0.3) is fingernail tear proof. It has advanced shape memory, 4-way super stretch, and is lined with an ultra-flexible insulating lining also with 4-way stretch.
