BikeExchange / Kitzuma Cycling Logistics Merger Proving Highly Successful

July 29, 2022

One-stop nationwide shopping, ready-to-ride bike delivery attracting many key retailers/D2C brands and consumers

Asheville, North Carolina (July 28, 2022) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – After joining forces in December, two rising industry disrupters – Kitzuma Cycling Logistics, offering fully-assembled bike deliveries nationwide, and BikeExchange, an online storefront for retailers, manufacturers and consumers across the country – continue to change the way bikes are bought, sold and delivered, with many high-profile retailers and D2C brands now employing both platforms. Recent converts using the full package include Alchemy Bikes, along with major retailers like PlayTri and Mack Cycle and Fitness.

Dealers and brands who sign up for BikeExchange (BEX) receive a centralized online storefront to sell their bikes and accessories in front of a nationwide audience. This will bolster their own online presence by offering much wider consumer exposure to their products and current inventory, without the consumer having to search for – or even be familiar with – a particular brand/retailer.

Once a purchase has been made from BEX brands who also work with Kitzuma, consumers who choose Kitzuma for delivery will have their new bike picked up in customized vans and trucks – directly from the retailer/brand and fully built by their own staff – and shipped to the buyer’s door ready to ride. Never boxed, the bike arrives exactly as the engineers designed it and the mechanics built it.

Taylor Essick, CEO for both brands, explains how this partnership can help consumers and companies alike: “Consumers looking for a new bike can now view up-to-date inventory from a select network of retailers and D2Cs all in one user-friendly site, and with a few clicks that bike will be delivered to their door assembled by the brand or shop and ready to ride. Through our services, customers are also introduced to lots of new retailers and brands, especially beneficial when inventory is an issue, as it has been lately. Many of the smaller retailers, for instance, have bikes in stock but don’t have the infrastructure to reach a national audience or to ship to their location – we offer a simple, convenient solution.”

Ryan Cannizzaro, founder of Alchemy Bikes, an award-winning manufacturer of custom, high-end bikes, found the combined added value too good to resist. “When I realized all the benefits from working with BikeExchange and Kitzuma, the decision to sign up for both was a no-brainer,” he says. “Our product is premium top to bottom and want our consumers to enjoy the premium service with Kitzuma shipping. Plus with BikeExchange’s nationwide audience, more consumers will have access to Alchemy.”

Other major brands and retailers who have recently signed on for both services – though signing up for both is not a requirement; brands can also join either individually – include Vivelo, Zoomo, Epic Cycles, Pulse Endurance, Copper Spoke, Angry Catfish Bicycle.
