Chris Nikic episode of new series invites viewers to reimagine what people can achieve when abandoning preconceived notions of what is possible
WHAT: The IRONMAN Group will premiere the first episode of Anything Is Possible® – The Series on NBC starting with Chris Nikic’s story to launch the new series. The 60-minute series debut features Chris’s journey of becoming the first person with Down syndrome to even attempt and complete a full-distance IRONMAN triathlon – the ultimate test to of body, mind, and spirit for both professional and amateur athletes. The episode will showcase how Chris’s finish is nothing short of groundbreaking and a reminder of the power and resiliency of the human spirit.
With the 17-hour finish cutoff looming, Chris and his guide, Dan Grieb, face an all-day race against the clock. The episode highlights inspirational insights and personal triumphs from family and friends, including Nik Nikic, mentor, motivator, and father of Chris. Concurrently, viewers will watch Chris dig deeper than ever before in an attempt to overcome the unexpected adversities that were thrown his way during race day, and step into unchartered territory in the pursuit of his dream of inclusion and breaking barriers.
Anything is Possible – The Series, is produced by The IRONMAN Group production team, who also spearheads the annual IRONMAN World Championship® broadcast that airs on NBC annually. The Chris Nikic episode will be narrated by the familiar voice of Jim Cutler.
