Breed’s Swim California expedition will cover approximately 900 miles, starting from the Oregon border July 1st, and ending just past the Mexican border in October. Breed is a 9x open water swimming record holder – including the record of first person to swim from San Francisco to Half Moon Bay (28 miles, in 2022) – and a former UC Berkeley swimmer. She had her choice of any wetsuit in the world for her historic Swim California challenge, and she chose ROKA.

“I’d never worn wetsuits for my swims, so I was very nervous about wearing them – about chaffing, and my arms getting tired,” Breed says. “But as soon as I put on a ROKA, the sleeves literally felt like butter. The first swim I did in it was 2 hours, and when I finished, I was so impressed with how my arms felt – almost the same as not having a wetsuit on.”
