LITELOK launches interactive global bike theft map
May 15, 2026
Litelok has launched an interactive, real‑time global bike‑theft map on its website, called “Theft Intelligence,” designed to help cyclists, motorcyclists, and scooter riders understand where thefts are occurring and how risky a given area may be. The map aggregates reported theft data from Litelok customers, governmental crime agencies, and community input to show hotspots and trends across key markets such as the UK, Germany, France, the Netherlands, and the United States, plus a global overview.
Users can zoom in by city or region to see metrics such as hourly theft rates, average loss value, and recovery rates, allowing them to make more informed decisions about where and how securely to park their rides. Litelok emphasizes that no area should be assumed safe just because it lacks a visible hotspot, and the tool is meant to encourage greater vigilance and smarter security practices rather than offer a guarantee of safety.
