BOSTON, MA — February 23, 2026 /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Harpoon Brewery today announced that ASICS has signed on as the Official Footwear and Apparel Partner of the 25th Annual Harpoon 5-Miler powered by Needham Bank, returning on Saturday, May 16. The partnership is deeply rooted in Boston and committed to celebrating the New England running community.

Through a close collaboration with Marathon Sports, ASICS’ New England run specialty partner, the partnership will support runners at every stage of their journey to race day. From expert footwear fittings and product education to on-site race weekend activations, ASICS and Marathon Sports will help runners feel confident, prepared, and inspired as they toe the start line in May.

“Boston has one of the most passionate and knowledgeable running communities in the country, and the Harpoon 5-Miler captures that energy perfectly,” said Kevin McHale, ASICS America Vice President, Run Specialty & Omnichannel. “We’re excited to partner with Harpoon Brewery and Marathon Sports to bring our product, expertise, and ‘Sound Mind, Sound Body’ philosophy to a race that means so much to this city and to this region.”

“ASICS understands runners at every level, which aligns perfectly with what the Harpoon 5-Miler has always stood for,” said Charles Storey, Harpoon Race Director. “This partnership elevates the entire race experience, from training runs to race day, while staying true to the welcoming, community-first spirit that has defined this event for 25 years.”

The 25th Anniversary Harpoon 5-Miler sold out in just three days, the fastest sell-out since before the pandemic, and is shaping up to be an unforgettable celebration across the Seaport and South Boston. To date, the Harpoon 5-Miler has raised more than $3.1 million to support the cure and care of ALS, while earning its reputation as one of Boston’s most fun-forward and inclusive running events. Returning to the streets of the Seaport and South Boston, the iconic race will unite the New England running community once again with a sold-out field of 4,500 runners on the move to raise critical funds for the cure and care of ALS.
