Global E-Commerce Leader Returns as Official Community Partner for Fourth Consecutive Year

BOSTON, MA (July 15, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – ethos, the mass participation event organization behind Boston Triathlon weekend, today announced that Amazon will return for the fourth year as an official community partner of Kids Day at the Boston Triathlon. Thanks to Amazon’s continued support, registration for Kids Day will be free for all participants. The event will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, as part of the two-day Boston Triathlon weekend celebration on the South Boston waterfront. Registration information is available at www.BostonTri.com.

“Kids Day has become one of the most joyful and meaningful parts of the Boston Triathlon weekend,” said Michael O’Neil, president of the Boston Triathlon. “Thanks to Amazon’s generosity and ongoing commitment to the Boston community, we’re able to remove cost as a barrier and give more kids a chance to swim, run, and discover the excitement of sport in a welcoming and fun environment.”

Created to promote health and activity among youth and introduce them to the sport of triathlon, Kids Day features the USA Triathlon-sanctioned Kids Splash & Dash for athletes ages 7–15, as well as a Kids Fun Run for children under the age of 7. Both youth organizations and individual families from across New England are encouraged to participate.

“At Amazon, we’re proud to support events that inspire young people to get active, build confidence, and experience the power of community,” said Jerome Smith, Head of Community Engagement for the New England Region at Amazon. “We’re honored to once again partner with the Boston Triathlon to make Kids Day accessible to all and to help create lifelong memories for kids and families across the region.”

Boston Triathlon Weekend includes Kids Day, Olympic and sprint distance triathlons, and relay competitions. More than 2,000 athletes are expected to participate over the course of the weekend. All events take place at DCR’s Carson Beach and along William Day Boulevard, with races designed for participants of all levels – from beginners to professionals.
