Siffert, Studer & Next Generation Shine at 2025 XTERRA Switzerland
June 23, 2025

LA BRÉVINE, NEUCHÂTEL, SWITZERLAND (June 23, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ — Local stars Alanis Siffert (CHE) and Max Studer (CHE) claimed dominant victories at the 15th edition of XTERRA Switzerland, held June 21–22 in the high-alpine valley of La Brévine. Siffert won her off-road triathlon debut in 2:58:27, while Studer powered through the course finishing in 2:30:53 as both secured Swiss Cross Triathlon Championship titles. Among age groupers, Anja Elser (DEU) and Loic Menoux (FRA) were the fastest overall. The course included a 1.5K swim in Lac des Taillères, a 34K MTB ride that briefly crossed into France, and a 9K trail run through pine woods and lakeside terrain.
Rooted in the Jura Mountains
First held in 2010, XTERRA Switzerland has become one of the sport’s most respected stops, with champions like Arthur Forissier (FRA), Xavier Dafflon (CHE), and Loanne Duvoisin (CHE) shaping its history. Since moving to La Brévine in 2023, the event has grown into a regional celebration, embraced by local tourism boards, outdoor clubs, and small businesses across the Vallée de La Brévine.
Elite Victories for Studer and Siffert
Siffert led from the swim and held her lead through the bike and run to secure her first XTERRA win. “Swimming is my strength, and I was able to get out front. I just went for it, enjoyed the scenery, and gave everything I had.” Studer, a two-time Olympian, stayed ahead of a competitive field including Nicolas Duré (FRA) and Elliot Labourdette (FRA). “It’s really friendly and someone even lent me a bike part yesterday. That’s a special part of this community,” said Studer after the win.
Youth Tour Highlights
As the XTERRA Youth Tour continues to grow in its second season, the Sprint and Super Sprint races were a major highlight of the weekend. In the Junior division, Tanguy Ranjard (FRA) and Margot Ratton (FRA) took top honors. Thomas Durand (FRA) won the Youth B boys’ race and posted the fastest overall Sprint time, with Valentina Ehrnsperger (DEU) topping the Youth B girls’ field. In the Super Sprint, Youth A victories went to Pietro Ciccarelli (ITA) and Chiara Gai (ITA).
A Valley Built for Endurance
XTERRA Switzerland offered an invitation to connect with nature and community. “Here, we live in sync with nature,” said one nearby Le Locle resident. From the Discovery Triathlon to kids’ races and mountain trails shared year-round, the event continues to reflect the region’s deep outdoor spirit. With support from Jura & Three-Lakes Tourism, Swiss Triathlon, Raiffeisen, Viteos, and Le Gruyère, XTERRA Switzerland carries on as a tradition shaped by community and strengthened each year by those who rise to the occasion.
