Cassandre Beaugrand Leads Stars Line-Up for Supertri League 2025
June 9, 2025

LONDON, UK, (June 9, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Olympic gold medallist Cassandre Beaugrand leads an all-star line-up as the first group of athletes racing Supertri League in 2025 are revealed today.
The French star, who won the Olympic title in Paris last year as well as being crowned World Champion, will be looking to win the Supertri League title, the only major short course honour to so far elude her.
Beaugrand is one of a first raft of high profile athletes announced for Supertri League 2025. Trying to also grab a first title after several years of coming close will be Luxembourg’s Jeanne Lehair, who recently took a maiden WTCS victory in Yokohama, and USA’s Taylor Spivey, whose crash in the Grand Final in 2024 robbed her of a potential title.
Beaugrand’s compatriot, Emma Lombardi, is another with a realistic shot at glory, while those looking for an outsider will consider the ever improving Barbara De Koning, the Netherlands athlete who has accumulated a wealth of Supertri experience.
In the first batch of athletes announced in the men’s field today, there is another Supertri regular who is hoping to take a step up in Vasco Vilaça. The Portuguese athlete grabbed his first Supertri League round win in Chicago in 2024, and believes now is his time.
Britain’s 3-time Olympic medallist Jonny Brownlee is targeting Supertri League as his pinnacle of the season and wants to prove he can still compete with the very best, while France’s Dorian Coninx is a proven winner and will be a real threat.
The likes of Britain’s Hugo Milner, USA’s Chase McQueen – who won the Supertri E world title in 2024 and was runner-up in 2025 – and Kenji Nener of Japan also will be backing themselves for a shot at the big prize.
The athletes get their first taste of Supertri action in Toronto on July 26, before tackling the other venues so far announced for 2025, which include Chicago (August 23), Jersey (September 21) and Toulouse (October 5).
More athletes and the full Team rosters will be revealed in the coming weeks.
