August 23, 2021
Zoot Sports, The Original Triathlon Brand founded in 1983, is proud to be the official outfitter to Team US for the Professional Triathletes Organisation’s inaugural flagship event – The Collins Cup. The event will see athletes from Team US competing against Team Europe and Team Internationals to decide who rules triathlon.
Scheduled to take place on 28th August at the extraordinary x-bionic® sphere in Šamorín, near Bratislava, Slovakia, The Collins Cup is a new race format modelled after the Ryder Cup, which will see teams of European, International and USA athletes pitted against one another and put on display the excitement, rivalry, drama and personalities of the sport of triathlon.
Zoot Sports will provide Team US with technical race day apparel that is the most advanced triathlon race apparel ever created. Extensive testing and feedback from Zoot athletes have led to world-class race suits where aerodynamics are achieved without compromising comfort or quality. The same LTD race suits being worn by Team US athletes are currently available in several styles to all triathletes prepping for their marquee event at www.zootsports.com.
Zoot professional athletes Ellie Salthouse and Paula Findlay will also be competing together in this event for team International.
Zoot Sports President, Shawn O’Shea, said: “We have been making triathlon apparel, wetsuits, footwear and accessories for over 35 years and continue to draw on our history in the sport and our athletes to deliver the most comprehensive, technologically advanced, complete multisport product line in the world. We are very excited about the inaugural Collins Cup which will be the first of its kind and an innovative Word Class event like no other. We are proud to be the official outfitter and are backing Team US to show who rules Triathlon.”
Sam Renouf, Chief Executive Officer of the PTO stated: “Zoot Sports have been kitting out triathletes since the early days of Triathlon so it seems fit that they should be the official outfitter for Team US in The Collins Cup. We look forward to leveraging the excitement, rivalry and drama of Team battles while showcasing the personalities of our amazing PTO athletes to a global audience.”
