Thousands of runners, one iconic finish line – ASICS LDNX 10K makes its mark on Wembley
LONDON – 24th August /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – London’s newest 10K made its debut this weekend as thousands of runners took to the closed roads of Wembley for the very first ASICS LDNX 10K. With blue skies, big crowds, and a finish line party to remember, the debut edition proved to be a high-energy celebration of movement, music, and community spirit.
The event began with a start line like no other – a unique indoor launch lit up by an epic light show and powered by high-energy music to set the tone for the miles ahead. From there, runners hit the streets of Wembley, passing iconic local landmarks before finishing beneath the legendary Wembley Stadium arch. Whether chasing a PB or tackling their first-ever 10K, participants soaked up the electric event-day atmosphere, cheered on by supporters lining the route.
Remarkably, just hours before the start, Wembley had been echoing with Coldplay anthems as the band wrapped their sold-out tour dates. The stage worked through the night was transformed from concerts to kilometres, as the world-famous setting shifted seamlessly from live music to live sport – a fitting symbol of the area’s unique blend of culture, energy, and history.
In a nod to Wembley’s legendary music roots, finishers were treated to a post-event party at Boxpark headlined by a live Oasis tribute act – fresh from the UK leg of the iconic band’s first world tour since reuniting after 16 years – with massive anthems and a Wembley singalong that kept the celebrations going long after the final runner crossed the line.
Andrew Smith, CEO, ASO UK said “The first-ever ASICS LDNX 10K has exceeded all expectations. To see thousands of runners take to the streets of Wembley and experience the unique mix of sport, music and community we set out to create was incredible. From the energy at the start line to the celebrations at the finish, this event has shown the potential to become a real highlight in London’s running calendar, and we’re excited to build on this momentum for years to come.”
The event, supported by title partner ASICS, brought together runners from across London, the UK, and beyond – from first-timers to seasoned athletes – united by a shared goal: to be part of the first-ever ASICS LDNX 10K.

About ASICS
At ASICS, our five letters have meaning. ASICS is an acronym for the Latin Anima Sana In Corpore Sano or a Sound Mind in a Sound Body. And since our founding in 1949, our purpose has been to help people achieve a Sound Mind in a Sound Body.
Right from the very start, our founder, Kihachiro Onitsuka, saw that sport and movement had the power to lift spirits, project positivity, and propel people and whole communities forward. We still believe this.
And we believe our purpose is more relevant today than ever before. Stress and anxiety are at record levels, yet we know sport and movement can have a positive impact. Which is why we remain focused on supporting more people to move for positive mental health.
