  • With more than 5 months left before the event, neither the date nor the holding of the UTMB® Mont-Blanc are in question.

In light of the growing international concern over the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, the organizing team would like to share an update regarding the UTMB® Mont-Blanc week, scheduled to take place from August 24th to 30th 2020.

One of the main priority of the UMTB® Mont-Blanc organizers has always been the health and safety of every stakeholder: the runners, supporters, volunteers, economic and territorial partners, and fans from all around the world.

To date, with more than 5 months left before the event, neither the date nor the holding of the UTMB Mont-Blanc are in question. Of course, the organizers are carefully monitoring the situation and every stakeholder will be informed if there is any change.

“This is obviously a very challenging time for all of us. We stand with all those affected and wish to thank everyone working on the front line to combat this global crisis. Our priority is the safety and health of all those who take part in the success of our events: runners, organizers, providers, partners, volunteers, local residents, their families, but also all UTMB®’s friends. That is why we remain in constant contact with our health authorities.” – Catherine Poletti, Présidente, UTMB® Group

Now more than ever, the UTMB® Mont-Blanc team wishes to express solidarity and support to the trail running community and all communities around the world.

With 111 nations represented at UTMB®, the organization of the event is deeply linked to all citizens around the world. There is no doubt that together we will stay supportive to each other and overcome this challenge.
