USA Cycling Announces 2022 Junior Track Worlds Team

Four National Champions head to Tel Aviv, Israel to race for the rainbow stripes.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – USA Cycling announced today the four athletes that will be representing the United States at the 2022 UCI Junior Track World Championships in Tel Aviv, Israel on August 23-27.

Last year at this event, Kaia Schmid (Marblehead, Mass.; Human Powered Health) dominated with three podiums, one of which included a World Title in the Elimination race. Schmid has since aged out, but a new generation is still vying for rainbow stripes.

Jonah Hover (Allentown, Pa..; EDGE Cycling), Chloe Patrick (Carson, Calif.; Serious Cycling), Finn Koller (Bethlehem, Pa.; EDGE Cycling), and Divya Verma (Breinigsville, Pa.; EDGE Cycling) all had incredible track seasons with each rider winning multiple national titles last week at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center.

Hover won gold in the Omnium and the Individual Pursuit with a time of 3:36.345. Patrick was victorious dominating the Junior Women’s Omnium. Verma clocked the fastest time in the Junior Women 15-18 Sprints and won every ride she started, along with Koller also winning the Junior Men’s Sprint National Championship.
