TRITON launches 150 slots for the Championship

/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – TRITON, the new global triathlon series with World Finals to be hosted in the City of Portimão in the Algarve, Portugal on October 24th, 25th and 26th 2025 has announced it will release 150 direct slots to the World Finals on March 20^th 2025.

The final takes place across 3 consecutive days and hosts 6 races simultaneously – a SPRINT, a MIDDLE, and a LONG distance race as well as a Team Corporate Series final, a legends race and a kids race. The 3 distances allows athletes that prefer shorter or longer distances to co-experience the event together and targets a larger audience offering the opportunity for more athletes to experience the thrill of a World Championship event.

This unique opportunity will be offered to all athletes on a first come first served basis and will not affect athletes who have already qualified and who will qualify via rolldown slots for the upcoming 2025 series races.

Open slots for the Championship will close as soon as the slots limit is reached.

Triton Chairman and Founder stated, “ TRITON recognizes that being the first series Championship event with relatively few qualifying races on the annual calendar, makes it difficult for athletes that want to race and qualify, to be able to do so, as they may already have prior commitments for the current scheduled races. With this measure, TRITON gives everyone a fair opportunity to take part in the first championship event without compromising or undermining the effort and achievement of the qualified athletes”

700 athletes from 54 different countries have already qualified for the finals (pending the other athletes from qualifying races from 2025). Athletes who qualify through one of the official series races, will continue to benefit from the special privileged conditions through the unique link directly sent to them post qualification.
