The Bay Ride Partners with CalBike for 2025 Ride

May 15, 2025

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — April 15th, 2025 /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – LiveTheBay.org, the non-profit organization behind The Bay Ride, is proud to announce a new partnership with CalBike for the 2025 event. This collaboration marks an exciting new chapter as The Bay Ride approaches its 11th annual circumnavigation of the San Francisco Bay on September 13, 2025.

The Bay Ride has grown from an experimental journey by three friends in 2014 to a premier bicycling event attracting hundreds of participants. As part of this evolution, proceeds from the 2025 ride will support CalBike’s mission of advocating for equitable, inclusive, and prosperous communities where bicycling enables all Californians to lead healthy and joyful lives.

“This partnership represents a perfect alignment of our values,” said Jason Purdy, President of the LiveTheBay.org Board of Directors. “The Bay Ride showcases the incredible beauty and connectivity of our region by bicycle, while CalBike works tirelessly to ensure that bicycling experiences like this become accessible to everyone across California.”

The partnership aims to highlight the intersection of the joy of bicycling and transportation justice. While The Bay Ride showcases the Bay Area as one of the most beautiful places in the world to ride, CalBike is working to make similar experiences accessible to all Californians regardless of race, income, or zip code.

The 2025 Bay Ride will offer two route options—the signature 135-mile circumnavigation of the Bay and a 40-mile San Francisco to Oakland route, ensuring that riders of all levels and backgrounds can take part. Registration is currently open at TheBayRide.com.
