Snowbasin Partners with Roosters Brewing for 80th Anniversary Beer

December 1, 2020

Snowbasin, Utah (December 1, 2020) – Snowbasin Resort, known as ‘Ogden’s Winter Playground’ and one of oldest continuously running resorts in North America, is excited to announce its collaboration with Roosters Brewing to release the Snowbasin Pale Ale in celebration of the resort’s 80th official winter season.

A crisp combination of tropical and citrus notes balanced by the pine aromas of northwest hops, the Snowbasin Pale Ale will be available for purchase at various locations throughout the resort including on draft at Cinnabar, Overlook, Earl’s Lodge, Needles Lodge and John Paul Lodge, and by the can at the outdoor, slopeside dining locations at Earl’s Lodge, Strawberry Gondola and the Old Day Lodge. You can also find the beer at all three Roosters Brewing locations and the Compass Rose Lodge as well as 35 local Maverik stores within Weber County. Depending on location, a six pack of the Snowbasin Pale Ale will range in price from $8.99 – $9.49.

“Roosters crafted the perfect tribute to 80 years of legendary skiing and riding,” said Alan Dickerson, Director of Food and Beverage at Snowbasin Resort. “The Snowbasin Pale Ale is a toast to all our guests throughout the past 80 years. It’s a celebration of the adventures we had and those still yet to come. We look forward to welcoming old friends and new for another great season at Snowbasin.”

Snowbasin Resort opened for the 2020-21 season on November 27, exactly 80 years from the day that the Mayor of Ogden proclaimed the “Ogden Snow Basin Winter Playground” officially open in 1940. Beginning as a small, local ski hill with only one rope tow, Snowbasin has grown to become an internationally sought out destination known for its world-class skiing, luxury day lodges, top-rated dining and superior service and amenities. Offering fun for the entire family, the resort boasts over 3,000 acres of skiable terrain, 12 chairlifts, 6 luxury day lodges and one of the top ski schools in the nation.
