Glamorous Punta del Este hosts GFNY riders for a tough race

/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – This Sunday, GFNY Punta del Este offers riders a challenging 146 km race course with an elevation gain of 1654 m. Start and finish will be at Parador Pedro Figari beach club in the heart of the glamorous Punta del Este, one of Latin America´s most famous beach towns.

“GFNY Punta del Este has become a classic on the GFNY circuit,” says GFNY CEO Uli Fluhme. “It’s the highlight for South American riders at the end of the Southern hemisphere summer. The course is hilly and the winds blow strong – the champions here deserve the title.”

Race week activities include the fun GFNY Punta del Este happy hour on Saturday evening. On Sunday, riders will leave town to tackle a flat to hilly and windy course along wild beaches, pine forests, luxury homes and natural lakes. A post race meal celebration and awards ceremony at the swanky Parador Pedro Figuri beach club will complete the GFNY Punta del Este experience.
