Otto, Wertz, Riley and Konecny Dominate U.S. Cycling with Stars and Stripes Performances

Press Release Ogden, Utah – July 29, 2025 / ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – SCOTT USA proudly celebrates a landmark moment in American cycling, with four athletes—Hannah Otto, Brennan Wertz, Bjorn Riley, and Nico Konecny—each claiming U.S. National Championship titles across multiple disciplines in 2025.

Hannah Otto’s recent triumph at the Elite Women’s Cross-Country Marathon (XCM) National Championship in Roanoke, Virginia, showcased her determination and skill. The SCOTT Spark proved to be the perfect bike for the 53 miles of rugged Virginia singletrack, helping her secure the title as the 2025 XCM National Champion.

Joining Otto in SCOTT’s national champion lineup is Bjorn Riley, a breakout star who secured both the U.S. Short Track (XCC) and Olympic Cross-Country (XCO) national titles in 2024. Now racing full-time on the Elite circuit, he crossed the finish line this past weekend at Roanoke to claim the 2025 U.S. Short Track (XCC) national championship jersey for the second consecutive year.

Adding to SCOTT’s success is Nico Konecny, who recently took the U23 Short Track national title. In his first year in the U23 category, Konecny has demonstrated remarkable talent and is a strong contender for the upcoming XC championship.

Rounding out the championship quartet is Brennan Wertz, who claimed the Elite U.S. Gravel National Championship last September and is poised to contend for the title again this year. Known for his power and tactical acumen, Wertz clinched his victory in a dramatic final sprint, emerging from the lead group to seize the top step on the podium and don the coveted Stars and Stripes jersey.
