Employee-Owned Tech Company Processes $650 Million Across 39,000 Events

Moorestown, NJ — [January 8, 2026] /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – RunSignup, the leading registration and technology provider for endurance events, nonprofit fundraising, and ticketed experiences, today released its 2025 Year in Review, highlighting another record-breaking year of growth, innovation, and customer success. In 2025, RunSignup helped event organizers process $650 million across more than 39,000 events, a 16% increase year over year from $562 million in 2024. Since its founding in 2010, RunSignup has now helped customers generate $3.5 billion in event revenue and fundraising, surpassing the $3 billion milestone in February 2025.

“Our customers can feel confident that they’re working with a stable, long-term, fully employee-owned technology partner,” said Bob Bickel, RunSignup’s Founder and CEO. “We continue to invest aggressively in technology, support, and innovation so our customers can make their events better every year.”

Growth Across Three Businesses

RunSignup continued to grow across all three of its core product lines in 2025:

RunSignup (Endurance Events)

  • Grew beyond 50% market share in the U.S. endurance market
  • Processed $530 million in registration transactions
  • Supported 11.2 million registrations, up 15% and more than 1.4 million from 2024
  • Turkey Trot participation surged, with 1.3 million participants on Thanksgiving Day, up 20% year over year

Comparing endurance events held on RunSignup in both 2024 and 2025, participation rates grew approximately 5% in 2025, with total transaction volume increasing 8%, reflecting both increased participation and modest price growth.

GiveSignup (Peer-to-Peer Fundraising)

  • Nonprofit events raised more than $200 million in 2025
  • Donations tracked on the platform totaled $76 million, up 19% year over year
  • Nonprofits now account for 43% of total platform transaction volume

New fundraising tools released in 2025 — including automated fundraiser milestone notifications, enhanced reporting, and streamlined team renewal features — are helping nonprofits maximize revenue from their largest events.

TicketSignup (Calendar-Based Ticketing)

  • TicketSignup customers sold more than 1 million tickets in 2025
  • Strong adoption of patent-pending calendar-based ticketing
  • Events migrated from industry legacy platforms like Eventbrite and FareHarbor

Unlike traditional ticketing platforms that layer calendars onto dated technology, TicketSignup’s calendar-based approach is foundational — improving purchasing, scheduling, reporting, and event management for complex, multi-date events.

Long-Term Customer Success

RunSignup’s cohort data continues to demonstrate strong customer retention and growth. Every cohort of customers — from those who joined in 2010 through those joining today — generated more revenue in 2025 than in their first year, even after accounting for churn.

Notably:

  • Customers who joined in 2019 generated 41% more revenue in 2025 than in their first year
  • The 2011 customer cohort now generates 15x more revenue than in its first year

“This data reinforces our commitment to long-term customer success,” Bickel noted. “When our customers grow, we grow with them.”

2025: The Year of AI at RunSignup

In early 2025, RunSignup declared it the Year of AI, investing heavily in artificial intelligence to deliver practical, event-ready solutions. Highlights include:

  • 749 AI customer service chatbots created by event organizers
  • 13,000+ participant conversations handled via AI chat
  • AI chatbot tools provided free to all customers through Website V2

In 2026, RunSignup plans to expand AI across dashboards, participant experiences, and conversational commerce — enabling users to find, register, purchase tickets, and manage events through natural language interfaces.

Built to Support Customers

RunSignup’s team comprises U.S.-based employee-owners, with approximately 40% focused on product development and 60% dedicated to customer support and education.

In 2025 alone:

  • 30,000+ support issues handled with an average response time of 34 minutes
  • 75,000+ calls and emails managed by Account Managers
  • 66,000+ customer interactions handled by Sales
  • Hundreds of updated support articles, webinars, and a daily video feed

Fully Employee-Owned, Built for the Long Term

RunSignup closed 2025 debt free, profitable and cash-flow positive, with all employees sharing in the company’s success through profit sharing and dividends.

“As a fully employee-owned company, we’re here for the long run,” Bickel stated. “There’s no outside pressure to extract value at the expense of customers. Our focus remains on continuous innovation, fair pricing, and exceptional support.”

RunSignup thanks its customers for their trust and partnership in its 16th year of business, and looks ahead to continued growth and innovation in 2026 and beyond.
