RunSignup Launches New and Improved RaceDay Check-In App

March 30, 2021

Efficient Race Day Processing of Participants

March 30, 2021 – Moorestown, NJ – GiveSignup | RunSignup announces the launch of its new and improved RaceDay Check-In mobile application for efficient race day processing of participants. Available for Android and iOS devices, the new release of the free RaceDay Check-In app offers core functionality improvements, simplified user experience, and a refreshed interface. RunSignup’s RaceDay CheckIn app is designed for race organizers and volunteers to deliver an efficient race day check-in experience and overcome challenges associated with participant congestion and disparate data. Key features include barcode and QR code rapid check-ins, bib assignments, advanced searching, at-a-glance reporting, and flexible participant data adjustments. The RaceDay CheckIn app seamlessly integrates with RunSignup’s registration data, RaceDay Scoring, and RaceDay Results to automatically synchronize data changes for greater efficiency. In 2019, 3,400 events used the RaceDay CheckIn app to process more than 1.6 million participants on race day.

“The RaceDay CheckIn app has quickly become one of those products that once you use it, you never want to go without it again . The feedback we consistently receive from event organizers is one of surprise by how much the CheckIn app helps to speed up the flow of participant check-ins and how much it overcomes previous race day issues. I’m excited to launch this new release especially as races get back to offering on-site experiences. The CheckIn app is another resource events can use to reduce participant congestion and offer a safe race experience,” said Bob Bickel, Founder and CEO of RunSignup | GiveSignup.

Some of the more notable improvements with this release include improved corral management and edits, updated technology stack for the latest Apple and Android operating systems and hardware (cameras and signatures), improved edit of preset cloud configurations, and updated branding to coincide with our RaceDay suite of products.

RaceDay Check-In offers races greater participant management efficiencies for packet pickup and participant resolution. In addition, event organizers are able to quickly get an at-a-glance view of the status of overall check-ins and trends. Volunteers can easily use the RaceDay Check-In app to quickly look up existing Bib numbers or assign new Bib numbers either manually or by using the device camera, creating a streamlined packet pickup process. Race organizers also have increased flexibility with new participant management features, including event switching, adjusting corral assignments, relay team adjustments, and giveaway changes such as t-shirt sizes..

RunSignUp’s improved RaceDay Check-In solution is tightly integrated with RunSignup’s registration, RaceDay Scoring solution, and other RaceDay tools such as Bib Management and Results. This provides for immediate linking of records that automatically sync across systems as changes occur thereby overcoming potential issues or inconsistencies and delays with manual entries.

RaceDay Check-In is deployed through the app store and is available on Android or Apple tablets and phones. Race organizers are able to continue to use RaceDay Check-In when spotty cell conditions exist and the data automatically loads and syncs when cell service connection is re-established.

RunSignup is hosting a live webinar to provide a demonstration of the RaceDay CheckIn app on Tuesday, April 13 at 1pm EST.
