The coastal landscapes of Oaxaca, on the southern point of Mexico inspire the colors and graphics that emblazon the new spring/summer collection of Run Amok trail running and active apparel, with vibes fit for both the city and the highlands of Huautla de Jimenez aka Pueblo Magico.

The first drop offers a glimpse into the full collection with shorts built for running, training and recovering. The devil is in the minutiae of added features, new lengths, and innovative materials as Roark continues to tweak and improve its Run Amok collection.

New for S/S 2022 the Bommer Shorts 3.5”($89) are enhanced to increase the breathability of the top performing Bommer Ridge Shorts, with a new lightweight micro-perforated 4 way stretch and a shorter length shell, making it a new favorite among Roark’s collective of runners. The boxer brief compression liner is moisture-wicking and antimicrobial, it features a thigh cell pocket. The shell features enhanced ventilation details across the back yoke, back zip stash pocket, and magnetic slash front pockets.

The lightweight and minimalist Alta 5” shorts are a Roark pinnacle product, now available in Midnight Red ($89). Premium details and thoughtful features on this run short deliver performance through simplicity. Crafted using lightweight 4-way stretch fabric and a moisture wicking liner to meet the demands of a long day on the trails, the Alta features a single ply elastic waistband drawstring to personalize fit and a back cell pocket with waterproof lining as well as mesh-lined key/gel stash pockets for going the distance. They are also available in a 7 inch fit.

The Bommer 2.0 Shorts ($89) are built for versatility. They are lightweight and perform under any circumstance with a full compression moisture-wicking and antimicrobial liner that features a lower thigh cell pocket in addition to magnetic snap slash pockets and added ventilation details. Now available in Vibrant Red, these shorts feature a lightweight 4-way stretch RepreveⓇ  recycled polyester fabric with DWR water-resistant finish.  Repreve® is a market leader in recycling used water bottles into fibers to renew into fabrics

The longest and most relaxed short in the new collection is the Serrano 2.0 Shorts ($69). At 8” they are designed with an athletic and functional intent. Constructed from a lightweight Repreve® recycled polyester 4 way stretch, the fabric is finished with DWR. Unlined and lightweight, the short is an elastic waist style which is stabilized by an interior jacquarded elastic with a drawstring. They are the perfect impromptu adventure short, ready to take on the trail, the gym, or the search for the best Mezcal.
