Returning to Racing: With 2021 in Sight, Next Running USA Webinar to Focus on Building Consumer Confidence through Refund and Registration Polices

December 9, 2020

Join the online session to hear from Michael Nishi and Jenna Olson of Chicago Event Management, and Jim Chaney of the Hall of Fame Marathon, hosted by Running USA on Dec. 17

As 2020 draws to a close, the running industry is preparing to enter uncharted territory in 2021. With the hope that vaccine access can lead to larger field sizes and more group events returning next year, event producers must rethink their strategies for attracting runners.

To help you prepare, Running USA is offering a don’t-miss webinar on Thursday, Dec. 17 at 11am PT/2pm ET.  The session will be centered on “Building Consumer Confidence through Refund and Registration Policies” and will feature Michael Nishi and Jenna Olson of Chicago Event Management (CEM), the producers of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon, and Jim Chaney, race director of the Hall of Fame Marathon in Canton, Ohio.

Both races are opening their registrations for 2021 with modified registration policies to help build consumer confidence. You will hear directly from Olson and Chaney about how they set up their policies and what factors you might consider in setting up your own.

“If you are wondering where to start as you reintroduce registration for your 2021 events, this webinar is the place to start,” said Christine Bowen, vice president of programming, partnerships and operations for Running USA. “There is much to be learned from these two events who are strategically moving forward with their new refund and registration policies.”

The webinar is open to all at a signup cost of just $15.
