Registration Open for the 2023 Fleet Feet Liberty Mile, Downtown Pittsburgh’s Only Night Time Road Race

Participants can save $5 with special opening day pricing; families are encouraged to run a mile together with a 50 percent discount for participants 13 and younger

PITTSBURGH (March 8, 2023) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Registration is now open for the 2023 Fleet Feet Liberty Mile, Downtown Pittsburgh’s only night time road race, scheduled for July 7. The 1-mile road race showcases a variety of fitness levels, from first-time runners to Olympians. P3R is encouraging families to run a mile together and is once again offering a 50 percent discount for participants 13 and younger.

“This race is short and sweet at just one mile, making it the perfect distance for families to do together,” said Troy Schooley, P3R CEO. “The event is a great opportunity to do something different on a Friday night while making memories with friends and families. After the race, participants can stick around to watch some of the country’s fastest runners race to the finish with 4-minute miles.”

America’s fastest milers will compete for a prize purse of more than $21,000, one of the largest road mile prize purses in the country. The USATF-certified course starts and finishes in the heart of the Cultural District in Downtown Pittsburgh.

Participants are able to register at one of three levels: Red, White, or Blue, ranging in price from $20 to $35. Registrants can take advantage of special opening day pricing and save $5 on March 8. The Blue level perks include a race day shirt, finisher’s medal, pair of sunglasses, and customizable bib just like the pros receive. More than 1,500 are expected to participate in the 2023 event.

The Fleet Feet Liberty Mile is the second event part of the 2023 #RUNwithP3R Challenge. Runners who complete any DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon event, the Fleet Feet Liberty Mile and the EQT Pittsburgh 10 Miler or 10K in 2023 will earn a bonus medal as part of the challenge.
