The 2024 IRONMAN 70.3 Mont-Tremblant triathlon

  • Set in a picturesque European-style ski village in the heart of Canada’s Laurentian Mountains, the IRONMAN 70.3 Mont-Tremblant will host the ninth stop in the IRONMAN Pro Series™.
  • Top professional triathletes from around the world will head to Quebec to battle for a share of the $50,000 total event pro prize purse.
  • IRONMAN Pro Series Athlete Panel to take place at 1:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, June 22 located at Main Stage inside the Village and is free and open to the public.
  • Free Live coverage of Saturday’s event to be broadcast in U.S. and Canada exclusively on Outside TV and for international audiences across multiple platforms, including proseries.ironman.com, YouTube, DAZN, and L’Equipe in France.
  • Age-group athletes will compete alongside the professionals on the same course, looking to earn qualifying slots to the 2024 VinFast IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship on December 14 & 15, 2024 in Taupō, New Zealand.
  • The 2024 IRONMAN 70.3 Mont-Tremblant triathlon begins with a 1.9km (1.2-mile) swim in beautiful Lac Tremblant, before taking athletes on a 90km (56-mile) rolling cruise through the stunning Laurentian Mountains. Athletes will cap off their race with a 21.1km (13.1-mile) run that culminates with an unforgettable finish in the heart of the Village.
  • Race weekend will also include the 5150™ Mont-Tremblant triathlon taking place on Saturday, June 22. The race will feature a 1.5km (0.9 mile) swim, 40km (24.8-mile) bike ride, and a 10km (6.2-mile) run held on sections of the same IRONMAN 70.3 Mont-Tremblant course.

  • The IRONMAN 70.3 Mont-Tremblant will welcome over 3,000 registered participants from 36 countries, regions and territories, 11 Canadian Providences and territories and 40 U.S. States
  • The 5150 Mont-Tremblant will feature over 1,400 registered participants from 15 countries, regions and territories, 8 Canadian Provinces and territories and 21 U.S. States
  • The top five countries represented across both events are Canada, United States, France, Mexico, and United Kingdom.
  • 18-year-old twin sisters Eloïse Menard and Lauri-Ann Menard from Blainville, Quebec are the youngest female athletes racing
  • 18-year-old Félix Nasr from Montreal, Quebec is the youngest male athlete racing
  • 70-year-old Micheline Lefebvre from Montreal, Quebec is the oldest female athlete racing
  • 78-year-old Michel Terrien from Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, Quebec. is the oldest male athlete racing
  • Occupations include Airline Pilot, Attorney, Clergy, Dentist, Flight Attendant, Fire Fighter, Engineer, Healthcare Professional, Scientist, Musician, Lifeguard, and Writer.

What to Know: IRONMAN Pro Series

  • The inaugural year of the IRONMAN Pro Series, which was first announced in October of 2023, will see professional triathletes vie for the title of IRONMAN Pro Series Champion and their share of an incremental $1.7 million dollars paid at years end on top of individual event payout creating a total pro prize and bonus purse of nearly $6 million in 2024 season.
  • The series is contested over 20 designated races on 19 courses in the 2024 pro circuit, including a combination of six full-distance IRONMAN events and 10 IRONMAN 70.3 triathlons from around the globe in addition to the split location women’s and men’s 2024 VinFast IRONMAN World Championship triathlons and two-day women’s and men’s VinFast IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship triathlons.
