QR Upgrades Online “Bike Builder” Feature with Instant Imaging

April 7, 2020

Bike image auto updates with each option selected ~ click an option, see it instantly

Chattanooga, TN (April 7, 2020) – American Bicycle Group (ABG), manufacturer of high-performance bicycles – Quintana Roo (QR), Litespeed (LS) and Ocoee – today announced the latest upgrade to its Bike Builder function on the QR triathlon bikes website. As customers click on each option desired – color, graphics, components, wheels and accessories – the image is automatically updated. This allows the purchaser to customize the bike they want and to see what they are building in real-time. The final bike image goes into the customer’s online shopping cart along with the purchase details. Once the purchase is made, the customer can download the finished image and print it out. The customized bike will arrive on the customer’s doorstep in approximately 14 days.

We work with every customer to get them what they want, said ABG president Peter Hurley. This new website upgrade eliminates the need for our customers to imagine what their final bike will look like; they will be able to see it being built as they select different options. We’ve been working on this for quite a while and it’s fortuitous that it’s ready to launch at a time when in-store shopping isn’t possible.

While the online “bike builder” feature has been available since 2018, the instant image aspect brings a needed added dimension to the customer experience, and if assistance is needed during the building process, a support agent is available to answer questions in real-time.

All QR bikes are painted and assembled at ABG’s 48,000 sq. ft. facility in Chattanooga, TN, and are athlete-friendly when it comes to shipping, assembly and mechanical fixes. When shipped, the bike come 90% assembled and takes just a few minutes to assemble. All a rider needs is a basic knowledge of bike mechanics and two sizes of Allen wrenches.
