Colorado Springs, CO, September 1, 2022 /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Sports Strategies announces three new partners of The Pikes Peak APEX presented by RockShox. REI, Fat Tire and Flow Formulas have all partnered with the APEX to provide an enhanced experience to racers this September 22-25.

“We always want to partner with brands who want to create a world-class experience for our participants,” says Micah Rice, Executive Director of The Pikes Peak APEX.  “These are three industry-leading brands that are striving to reach cyclists and enhance their ride on the slopes of Pikes Peak at the APEX.”

REI will be providing mechanical support to the riders at all of the aid stations, making sure that riders can get through the courses and have fewer delays because of mechanical issues. REI in Colorado Springs has a strong history of providing quality mechanics at their in-house bike shop.

Fat Tire will be providing post event drinks in the beer garden on Sunday with a variety of beers from New Belgium Brewing. The APEX will hold the final podium ceremony and post-event party in America the Beautiful Park in downtown, Colorado Springs.

Flow Formulas will keep riders fueled during all four stages of the APEX, providing their Endurance Mix at all of the aid stations as well as their Recovery Mix at the finish line each day. Flow is a Colorado-based endurance sports drinks company.

The 2022 Pikes Peak APEX presented by RockShox will take place from September 22nd through 25th. The world-class mountain bike challenge draws pros and amateurs for four days of riding on the slopes of Pikes Peak in Olympic City, USA, featuring a Rocky Mountain trail experience through the aspens in Colorado’s backcountry. Courses showcase some of the world’s best trails, with challenging terrain that is not overly technical, and take riders on exceptionally crafted routes through dirt roads, jeep trails and the amazing alpine singletrack. Beyond the 4-day MTB challenge, The APEX also offers participants opportunities to participate in single day rides and 28 mile, 10k and 5k trail runs. The event draws out the entire community on the final day and wraps up with The APEX Outdoor Festival & Expo in America the Beautiful Park.

The APEX supports Trail Stewardship and drives economic impact to the area in order to improve the trails and open space in the Pikes Peak region for the lasting enjoyment of its residents and visitors. The APEX, a Pikes Peak Outdoor Recreation Alliance project, was developed and is operated by Sports Strategies, a division of Tourism Strategies, LLC.
