Oura Adds Long-Term Stress Tracking, Other Preventive Health Features

October 20, 2025

Oura is increasing its focus on preventive health with a series of updates rolling out across its platform this month, spanning new physiological metrics, app enhancements and a first-of-its-kind health report aimed at advancing the dialogue between wearables and clinical research.

One of the new features is Cumulative Stress, a long-term biomarker designed to show how the body accumulates and recovers from chronic stress over time. Oura’s model draws from the member’s past month of physiological data, updated weekly, to reveal a more objective measure of stress resilience.

The feature integrates five contributors: sleep continuity, heart stress response, sleep micromotions, temperature regulation and activity impact, providing members with a deeper view of how their lifestyle and recovery patterns influence long-term strain. A new Stress Management view now unifies Daytime Stress, Resilience and Cumulative Stress in one dashboard, offering a clearer picture of both short- and long-term stress trends. Cumulative Stress will be available globally in the coming weeks. Athletech News
