Miwok 100K Announces The North Face as New Title Sponsor

February 24, 2026

Iconic Northern California ultramarathon becomes the Miwok 100K Presented by The North Face

Stinson Beach, CA /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – The Miwok 100K, one of the most respected ultramarathons in the United States, is proud to announce a new title partnership with The North Face. Beginning in 2026, the race will officially be known as the Miwok 100K Presented by The North Face.

Known for its relentless climbs, rugged trails, and deeply rooted community spirit, the Miwok 100K has been a cornerstone of West Coast trail running for nearly three decades. Set on the iconic terrain of Marin County, the race challenges athletes with steep ascents and technical trails while fostering a culture defined by care, inclusion, and appreciation for the land.

Race Director Magda Boulet, a U.S. Olympic marathoner and Western States 100 champion, brings world-class experience and deep Bay Area roots to the Miwok 100K.

“We are so proud to partner with The North Face as the title sponsor of Miwok 100K. This is not only big news for our trail race, but also for our community,” Boulet said. “This partnership will allow us to further commit to land stewardship and to creating an environment that honors the values of The North Face, a brand born in the Bay and rooted in exploration, nature connection, and the trail running community.”

The Miwok 100K takes its name from one of the course’s original trails, itself named in honor of the Indigenous stewards of Marin County. The Coast Miwok people, also known as the Huuku’i’ko, have lived on and cared for this land for at least 10,000 years. Through generations of attentive stewardship, the Huuku’i’ko sustained an abundant natural environment shaped by deep knowledge of seasonal cycles and ecosystems.

As the title sponsor, The North Face will play an integral role in supporting the Miwok 100K beyond race day, with a focus on more sustainable event practices, storytelling opportunities, and inclusive community initiatives aligned with the brand’s Power of Nature impact platform.

The Miwok 100K Presented by The North Face will take place this Spring, on May 2, 2026, and will be part of a three-year partnership.

Paddy O’Leary, a The North Face-sponsored athlete and longtime supporter of the Miwok 100K, shared, “For me, as a longtime TNF athlete and San Francisco resident, I love seeing The North Face return to its birthplace in the Bay Area. Even more meaningful is supporting a longstanding ultramarathon like Miwok 100K, a race that elevates our community, our sport, and our appreciation for the trails that bring us together.”

O’Leary added, “Miwok represents what trail running is truly about — connection to the land, respect for history, and showing up for one another. Having The North Face step in as title sponsor signals a deep investment in preserving and strengthening the culture of trail running here in Northern California.”

With this new partnership, the Miwok 100K Presented by The North Face looks ahead to its next chapter by celebrating its roots while continuing to grow as one of the most respected and community-driven ultramarathons in the country.
