Michael Epstein wins back Malibu Triathlon permit over Super League Triathlon

The Malibu City Council ended a months-long impasse by awarding the city’s lone triathlon permit to the previous organizer of the Malibu Triathlon over the event’s current owner, Super League Triathlon, making way for the Zuma Beach Triathlon to occur in September instead.

Such a result could lead to industry-wide ramifications. Following the council’s vote, Super League Triathlon stated the “decision sets a very dangerous precedent” that could make future investors weary of similar events.
