October 26, 2025

Marathon Tours & Travel, the global leader in running travel experiences, has unveiled its most exciting campaign yet: “The Coolest Job on Earth.” This unique competition offers one lucky winner the chance to travel with them to Antarctica in March 2026 and work behind the scenes at the world-famous Antarctica Marathon®.

Boston, MA (October 26, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Marathon Tours & Travel, the global leader in running travel experiences, has unveiled its most exciting campaign yet: “The Coolest Job on Earth.” This unique competition offers one lucky winner the chance to travel with them to Antarctica in March 2026 and work behind the scenes at the world-famous Antarctica Marathon®.

The Marathon Tours & Travel team are calling on runners, adventurers, storytellers, and content creators from across the world to apply for what is quite literally “The Coolest Job on Earth.”

The winner will travel to King George Island in March 2026, joining the Marathon Tours & Travel team in delivery of the Antarctica Marathon®. They’ll be given the unique opportunity to experience one of the planet’s most extraordinary running events, and to connect with runners from all around the world. With exclusive behind-the-scenes access and the chance to run either the half or full marathon, they’ll experience the event – and Antarctica – from a truly unique perspective.

But this is no ordinary job application. Instead of simply submitting a form, applicants will be challenged to “show, not just tell” the team why they deserve the role. Using Instagram, entrants will be invited to answer the question: “Why should you be chosen for the Coolest Job on Earth?” – creatively demonstrating what makes them stand out.

Applicants are encouraged to get as creative as possible with their entries – whether that means showcasing a unique skill, sharing a passion for adventure, or demonstrating a flair for storytelling. It might be that you are a natural leader who thrives under pressure, a creative with a knack for capturing unforgettable moments, or someone who can inspire and entertain. Whatever the angle, this is a chance to prove why you’d be the perfect addition to the Antarctica Marathon® team.

A panel of judges, comprising of Jeff Adams, President of Marathon Tours & Travel, Nick Busca, journalist and 2025 Antarctica Marathon® participant who documented his experience for National Geographic; and travel journalist and multi marathon runner, Stacey Leasca, will review all entries and select the winner.

Beyond finding the perfect candidate, The Coolest Job on Earth will shine a spotlight on the Antarctica Marathon® – celebrating its bucket-list status, unique spirit, and once-in-a-lifetime appeal – while also highlighting its commitment to environmental causes through partnership with Oceanites.

Jeff Adams, President of Marathon Tours & Travel, said: “The Antarctica Marathon® is a truly life-changing event – and I speak from experience, having been part of it many times myself. Given the remote and extraordinary location of the event, only a small number of runners have the chance to take part each year and this makes this an exceptionally rare and exciting opportunity for someone to join us behind the scenes. I can’t wait to see the creativity in the entries and be part of selecting the winner.”

Entries open on Saturday 25th October 2025 (10:00am EST) and close on Sunday 30th November 2025 (23:59 EST)
