Liv Cycling, the company dedicated to getting more women on bikes, announces new XC and downcountry bike

  • Pique Advanced SL and Pique X Advanced SL push women’s XC and downcountry performance further with a lighter, faster, fully integrated platform.

NEWBURY PARK, Calif. (November 18, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/Liv, the company dedicated to getting more women on bikes, has unveiled the all-new Pique range, representing the next evolution in women’s mountain biking performance. Redesigned from the ground up, the new lineup delivers Liv’s lightest, most technically advanced off-road platform to date—created to meet the demands of today’s faster, more technical XC and trail terrain.

“The new Pique range represents the next step in how we think about speed, control, and capability,” said Ludi Scholz, Liv Global Off-Road and Gravel Category Manager. “From World Cup race courses to everyday trails, riders expect their bikes to be lighter, more responsive, and more confident than ever. The new Pique platform is our answer to that—a complete system designed to work together for maximum performance.”

The new range includes two series: the Pique Advanced SL series, an XC race bike built for podium-tier results, and the Pique X Advanced SL, designed for riders seeking more confidence and capability across a broader range of terrain.

At the heart of the new Pique range lies a shared foundation: Advanced SL Composite Technology, next-generation FlexPoint Pro rear suspension, and an integrated system in which the frame, suspension, cockpit, and wheels were developed together for optimal balance and performance. Both series—the Pique Advanced SL and Pique X Advanced SL—share this innovative platform, refined through data from women riders and athlete input to deliver a ride that’s efficient, confident, and responsive across every type of terrain.

SHARED DNA: LIGHTER, FASTER, MORE INTEGRATED

The new Pique chassis is the lightest dual suspension mountain bike frame Liv has ever built. Its Advanced SL-grade composite, developed using the same professional-grade carbon and one-piece molding process as Liv’s flagship Langma road bike, delivers exceptional stiffness-to-weight and strength.

The reengineered FlexPoint Pro rear suspension system is central to the platform’s performance. This next-generation, single-pivot design features a new composite swingarm and refined leverage curve for smoother, more efficient suspension action. With 120mm of rear travel, it stays active under power, maintains traction through technical terrain, and delivers consistent, predictable control.

A two-position flip chip allows riders to fine-tune geometry for different terrain or riding styles. The “High” position raises the bottom bracket and steepens the head and seat tube angles for quicker handling on tighter courses, while the “Low” position lowers the bottom bracket and slackens angles for added stability on descents.

Every model within the range features the new Giant Contact SLR or SL XC integrated handlebar and stem for clean cable routing and precise steering, along with new Giant XCR and XCA WheelSystems designed as part of the platform. Their 10° helical engagement between the hub and ratchet rings ensures efficient, consistent power transfer with reduced stress on components, while a 120-tooth ratchet delivers rapid 3° engagement for instant response and precise power delivery. Paired with Wide Guard hookless rims, riders can run lower tire pressures for improved grip, control, and puncture protection.

Repositioned shock placement also creates room for two water bottles on most frame sizes—an endurance-ready feature essential for marathon races and long trail days.

PIQUE ADVANCED SL

Built for racers obsessed with speed, performance, and control, the Pique Advanced SL is Liv’s purest expression of cross-country performance. The bike’s 120mm front and rear suspension is tuned for maximum pedaling efficiency and precision handling on demanding World Cup courses. Every element, from its ultra-light frame to its race-tuned kinematics, is designed to translate effort into speed.

The Pique Advanced SL already proved its pedigree on the world stage, debuting in prototype form at the final rounds of the UCI World Cup season with Tyler Jacobs and Ronja Blöchlinger, who rode it to podium finishes in Lake Placid and Mont-Sainte-Anne. As the official bike of Liv Factory Racing and Liv Racing Collective, it will continue to compete at the highest level of the sport in 2026.

PIQUE X ADVANCED SL

For riders who push beyond the racecourse, the Pique X Advanced SL delivers the same efficient, lightweight foundation—tuned for more capability and control. Its 130mm fork and trail-ready components add stability on descents and confidence through technical sections, while integrated down tube storage keeps tools and essentials close at hand for long rides, chunky descents, or spontaneous detours.

BUILT BY LIV. BUILT FOR WOMEN. BUILT FOR PROGRESS.

From research and frame sizing to component selection and suspension tuning, every detail of the new Pique range reflects Liv’s design philosophy to design the best bikes for women. Developed and tested by a women-led team with input from professional athletes, the new Pique lineup was created not just to perform—but to inspire progression.

“The Pique Advanced SL and Pique X Advanced SL were designed to move women’s mountain biking forward,” said Cassondra Spring, Liv Global Brand Manager. “Whether the goal is chasing a podium or taking your riding to the next level, these bikes are made to build confidence and keep riders progressing.”
