/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – The National Cycling League (NCL) has announced an official multi-year partnership with Link My Ride. This partnership celebrates both companies’ shared commitment to supporting the cycling industry through community and innovation. The NCL launched last year, is reimagining the future of sports with the first women- and minority-owned professional sports league in the United States dedicated to innovation, diversity, community, and sustainability.
Through its commitment to diversity, the National Cycling League sets a new standard for inclusion in professional sports. As part of its mission, the league impacts and transforms communities. With over 50 million cyclists in the U.S., the league aims to increase the passion and enthusiasm for cycling among the next generation of fans while reducing the knowledge barrier by adding a scoreboard and league structure like those of other professional sports.
Link My Ride, an app for social cycling, was founded by Jacques Sauvagnargues and Tom Pidcock, former teammates, and professional riders. They developed the app to increase cycling participation globally and simplify the way that group rides are organized. Link My Ride allows riders, clubs, and brands to connect with each other simply and safely via an easy-to-use smartphone app and desktop platform. The app is free for cyclists with a subscription-based model that is tailored for clubs.
“Link My Ride is thrilled to announce its strategic collaboration with NCL, aiming to streamline and enhance the process of facilitating activation and engagement within the global cycling community, spanning across the United States and various international regions. This partnership signifies an opportunity to introduce new methods of ride coordination to an already forward-thinking establishment” said Jacques Sauvagnargues, Co-Founder and CEO of Link My Ride.
Link My Ride will be joining a fleet of other best-in-class team partners for the NCL’s inaugural season, including Wahoo Fitness, TicketSocket, PowerBar Sports, Rudy Project, FSA/Vision, DeFeet, POC, Factor Bikes, Nix and GCN+.
“We are thrilled to partner with Link My Ride to help continue our efforts to foster and support the cycling community,” said Paris Wallace, Co-Founder of NCL.
The upcoming races in the 2023 NCL Cup Series are Denver on August 13th and Atlanta on August 20th. Link My Ride will kick off the partnership by hosting the NCL Cup Denver community ride on August 13th prior to the race at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. The ride begins at 1:00 pm and all participants can sign up at Link My Ride or nclracing.com.
