MCC Official Licensee Athlos Sportswear Creates Commemorative Jersey Honoring Baltimore’s Iconic Maryland and Baltimore Landmarks

BALTIMORE (July 10, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/The Maryland Cycling Classic, America’s top-ranked cycling race, today unveiled its official 2025 commemorative jersey designed by Athlos Sportswear. With offices in Baltimore, Athlos Sportswear is a custom cycling apparel company and returns as an official licensee and a founding sponsor of the event since 2022.

The 2025 Maryland Cycling Classic will be held in Baltimore on September 6 and for the first time the event will feature both men’s and women’s races.

The 2025 Maryland Cycling Classic jersey showcases iconic Maryland and Baltimore landmarks such as the Francis Scott Key Bridge, Dominos Sugar Building and Maryland’s blue crab. The design draws inspiration from the Maryland state flag, incorporating its signature colors of red, black, yellow, and white. Finish line checkers are also featured on the jersey.

“The new commemorative design celebrates Maryland and Baltimore’s icons while remembering the Francis Scott Key Bridge,” said Athos Chief Sales and Marketing Officer Dave Manchester. “The Francis Scott Key Bridge, a vital Baltimore landmark that spanned the Patapsco River, opened in 1977 and was named in honor of the author of the “Star-Spangled Banner.”

As part of its partnership with Maryland Cycling Classic, Athlos supplies all key staff and technical apparel for the event as well as the official awards jerseys, including the following categories: race champion, sprint points champion, king of the mountains points champion (for best climber), best young rider, and most inspirational rider. A new category sponsored by Kaiser Permanente will recognize the athlete that has best represented his team within the community. Designs and sponsors of award jerseys will be announced later this summer.

The limited commemorative 2025 Maryland Cycling Classic jersey is available for purchase on the Maryland Cycling Classic website (https://www.athlosports.com/collections/maryland-cycling-classic) or at athlosports.com.
