Las Vegas Marathon Announces Amazon as Presenting Sponsor

This partnership will enhance runners’ experiences as they partake in the inaugural event

LAS VEGAS, Nevada /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – The Las Vegas Marathon, the premier and city-signature road running event for the city of Las Vegas, has announced Amazon as their presenting sponsor of the Gear Check Program ahead of its inaugural event on Nov. 3, 2024. Each participant will be receiving an Amazon-branded gear check bag at the Health and Lifestyle Expo the day before the race to store personal items that can be retrieved in the Amazon Gear Check Zone at the finish festival.

“The runner’s experience is top of mind as we continue to expand our partnerships as we build out the inaugural Las Vegas Marathon,” said Kim Kapinos, VP of Partnerships for Brooksee, which produces the Las Vegas Marathon. “We’re thrilled about this partnership with Amazon as it will ensure that participants’ gear is in safe hands so they can focus on all the other amazing aspects of race day!”

The Las Vegas Marathon will feature three distances on race day: a marathon, a half marathon and a 7.02-mile race that spotlights the local 702 Las Vegas area code. The fast course will lead runners on a journey through scenic and iconic areas of the city, including a marathon start line at Red Rock Canyon, a tour through Downtown Summerlin, Symphony Park, 18b Arts District, Las Vegas Boulevard and a finish at Fremont Street Experience. The event will also feature a Finish Festival at the finish open to spectators and participants. The festival will feature a beer garden, food and beverage offerings, entertainment, photo opportunities, runner recovery and more. In addition to the Meow Wolf after-party, the Las Vegas Marathon will continue to release more special race day offerings as event day draws near.

This partnership represents an expansion of Amazon’s relationship with Brooksee, the producer of the Las Vegas Marathon. Amazon is also the gear check presenting sponsor at the Brooksee’s Mesa Marathon and the title sponsor of the Mesa Marathon Amazon Kids 1K.
