Kyle Coon Joins Team INFINIT

31-year-old paratriathlete continues to dominate with first place at the 2022 Paratriathlon National Championships

Cincinnati, Ohio, July 20, 2022/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – INFINIT Nutrition, the original custom nutrition company, is excited to announce the addition of National Champion paratriathlete Kyle Coon to their Team INFINIT elite athlete roster.

The 31-year-old Colorado Springs resident recently took first place at the 2022 World Triathlon Para Series Montreal in the men’s PTVI category. Then went on to capture the U.S. national title in his category at the 2022 Toyota USA Paratriathlon National Championships on July 17th, with a time of 1 hour, 1 minute, 46 seconds.

After losing his vision resulting from a battle with retinoblastoma (rare cancer of the eye) at the mere age of 6, Kyle never once let his hardship prevent him from pursuing his goals. Inspired by world-class blind athlete Erik Weihenmayer, he began pursuing a life of adventure in his teenage years — Hiking to Machu Picchu in 2006, and successfully summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro the following year at the age of 15.

Kyle Coon committed to endurance training after graduating from the University of Central Florida, and in 2018, he became the first completely blind individual to complete an IRONMAN triathlon in under 11 hours. Three years later, he was selected to represent Team USA at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics and is training to make the team again in 2024.

Turning his vision loss into a pillar of inspiration for others, Kyle exemplifies what it means to triumph over adversity. He’s been featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show, and he continues to share his story of adversity and triumphs to others as a motivational speaker.

Kyle constantly pursues an “Eyeronvision,” embracing adversity and epitomizing commitment, determination, and vision toward achieving his goals. While he strives to be the best, he also wants to make sure he isn’t the last. He is proud to take on the responsibility of role model, and INFINIT is proud to have him on the roster representing Team INFINIT.

A top notch competitor, Kyle has improved drastically over the past few years. His training has been dialed in and he continues to raise the bar against his competitors in the blind/visually impaired category. The next stop for Coon on the World Triathlon Para Series circuit will be August 6th in Swansea, Wales.
