IRONMAN Announces Partnership with ESPN to Bring Live Coverage of the IRONMAN Pro Series to Latin America and the Caribbean

TAMPA, Fla, (June 13, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – IRONMAN, the global leader in long-distance triathlon, and ESPN, the world’s leading multiplatform sports entertainment brand, have today announced a broadcast partnership exclusively for viewers in Latin America and the Caribbean. The deal will see ESPN’s digital platform within Disney+ showcase all races in the IRONMAN® Pro Series live, inclusive of the IRONMAN World Championship® and IRONMAN® 70.3® World Championship triathlons. This partnership will bring the excitement and drama of IRONMAN racing to more than 40 countries, regions and territories across Latin America and the Caribbean.

The IRONMAN Pro Series, now in its second year, is a year-long performance-based world series that will see the world’s top professional triathletes earn points at 18 events and 17 race locations around the globe in 2025, including the IRONMAN World Championship and the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship events, to vie for the title of IRONMAN Pro Series Champion and a share of the lucrative USD $1.7 million year-end bonus prize pool. An additional prize money purse of over USD $2.5 million is also available across individual events.  With a point being lost for every second behind the winner, this is fast and furious racing at its finest.

With nine races already in the books in the 2025 IRONMAN Pro Series, and the IRONMAN Hamburg European Championship event for professional women coming up this weekend, excitement is mounting as professional triathletes battle it out to accrue points and prize money.

In the women’s standings, Spain’s Marta Sanchez is currently leading the charge with 7,030 points thanks to her second-place finish at ISUZU IRONMAN South Africa African Championship triathlon, and fourth place finish at last weekend’s IRONMAN 70.3 Aix-en-Provence race. Behind Sanchez, is Anne Reischmann (DEU) and Lisa Perterer (AUT).

Currently sitting atop of the men’s IRONMAN Pro Series standings with 9,312 points is Norwegian powerhouse, Kristian Blummenfelt, who saw back-to-back wins at the IRONMAN 70.3 Aix-en-Provence and Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Texas North American Championship triathlons which earnt him maximum points in both races. Just over 100 points behind Blummenfelt is Germany’s Jonas Schomburg, followed by Leon Chevalier (FRA).

With eight more races to go, there is everything to race for and ESPN on Disney+ subscribers in Latin America and the Caribbean will have front row seats to all the thrills and spills, watching in real time as newcomers, rising stars and seasoned pros battle it out to become IRONMAN Pro Series champion.
