Intelligentsia Cup Remains Largest Competitive Road Cycling Event in America

August 16, 2022 Chicago, IL /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ Intelligentsia Cup remains the largest competitive road cycling event in America with more than 5,400 entries for the 2022 season, including riders from 17 countries and 42 states. The 10 day series began July 22, and concluded July 31, with both amateur and professional cyclists competing to win cash and glory.

The 2022 series also hit another important milestone, marking a significant increase in women riders. Over 30% of the total entries were women, up nearly 10% from 2021.

Intelligentsia Cup’s 10 days of criterium racing took racers to a new community each day, complete with unique challenges and a party atmosphere in each location.

The Intelligentsia Cup is a 10-day road series in and around Chicagoland. The 2022 venues included: West Dundee, Glen Ellyn, Winfield, Mundelein, Lombard, South Chicago, Northbrook, Elgin, Lake Bluff, and West Fulton Market in Chicago. This exciting series attracts elite and amateur cyclists from all over America and around the world, and is the largest competitive road series in the country. Intelligentsia Cup recently joined the American Criterium Cup, a series of criteriums that share a vision to elevate the stature of American criterium racing and create engaging events that are spectator-friendly, and great for the communities in which races are staged. American Criterium Cup events are livestreamed on the Outside online network.
