Brewery to Release New Beer and Host After Party

Halethorpe, Md. (January 30, 2020)— Corrigan Sports Enterprises (CSE) announced today it will host the inaugural Guinness Open Gate Brewery Run & Beer Release on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at 8 a.m. in Halethorpe, Maryland. The new running event features a 10K, 5K and walk through nearby Patapsco Valley State Park and the debut of a specially crafted beer at the only Guinness brewing operation on American soil.

“The Guinness Open Gate Brewery is thrilled to partner with Corrigan Sports to host the inaugural Guinness Brew Run, which we envision becoming a longstanding community tradition that brings even more locals and visitors to Baltimore County,” stated Michael Donilon, Guinness Open Gate Brewery, General Manager.

The 10K & 5K scenic courses feature an out-and-back route from Guinness Open Gate Brewery through Patapsco Valley State Park. The 1,817-foot walk, which honors the year when Guinness sent over its first shipments of beer to America, circles a portion of the brewery grounds.

Each participant will receive a performance shirt and those of legal drinking age are welcome to enjoy two free pints of brewery-exclusive beers or Dublin-brewed classics during the post-race after party.

Lee Corrigan, president of CSE, said: “In addition to the course itself, runners seek an overall experience unique to the region or within the industry. The brewing industry has exploded in the Baltimore-Washington market over the last decade, so combining Guinness Open Gate Brewery’s wildly successful local debut along with our decades of experience demonstrated in the Maryland and national running market assures participants of that exceptional experience they desire.”
