Hyland’s Powered Announces Official Team for Asheville Belgian Waffle Ride

Hyland’s team brings wealth of endurance racing experience to the North Carolina BWR

LOS ANGELES – August 3, 2021 – Hyland’s, a trusted leader in products to support a healthy, active lifestyle, today announced their official team for the second Belgian Waffle Ride of 2021, known as the “Hell of the North (Carolina).” Led by coach and elite cyclist Paul Thomas, the team will tackle the Asheville Belgian Waffle Ride in Western North Carolina on August 21, 2021.

During the 2021 race season, Hyland’s Powered is sponsoring the Belgian Waffle Ride series as the Official Cramp Relief Sponsor and will provide Leg Cramps products at aid stations along the BWR Asheville route. The punishing 104-mile race route includes more than 11,000 feet of climbing and 40 miles of off-road terrain.

The athletes named to the Asheville BWR roster include Andrew Behnke, Candice Zipf, Eric Henry, Jeffrey Maher, Juan Tisera, Melanie Blake, Nikolaus Hagedorn, Tagert Smith, and Wilis Johnson. The athletes from age 30 to 52, hailing from all over the East Coast and the Midwest to represent Hyland’s Powered.
