NEW YORK CITY, February 24, 2022/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – GFNY Global Endurance Sports Series is back in Brazil with GFNY Bento Gonçalves, scheduled for October 16, 2022.
GFNY Bento Gonçalves’ long competitive course has 145km with 3192m of climbing in the heart of Serra Gaúcha, one of the most beautiful regions of Brazil. This route will lead riders through its famous vineyards and then on rolling hills offering a breathtaking view of one of the most gorgeous landscapes.
“GFNY is loved in Brazil by many riders so we’re excited to finally be back with a new race,” says GFNY President Lidia Fluhme. “Bento Gonçalves is the ideal host for a GFNY: Southern Brazil offers the perfect spring climate for racing, the topography allows for a perfect race course and the host town will lay out the red carpet for the riders.”
Bento Gonçalves is one of the largest industrial and economic centres of Southern Brazil. Being of Italian heritage, its main income source comes from the production of excellent quality wines. The valleys and weather conditions offer an ideal setting for vineyards.
